That’s right, today is the grand opening of the new website La guerrière MPR! I’m very proud to be able to present it to you, and I can’t wait to add content on Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)! I’m going to start next week with an article on the basis of the basics: what is a kidney, and what it’s for!

The PKD warrior, the warrior kidney, that’s me.
Like her, I know the state of my kidneys, I know my disease, I know that it is currently incurable and that my only hope is a kidney transplant. I know that nothing else will make me better than this great surgery, and I know that I can’t find a donor.
But that’s okay! I will use this opportunity to make the disease known and inform about all the extra health problems that it causes. I will take this opportunity to explain why donations to foundations (such as the PKD Foundation of Canada) are important.
Above all, I will take the opportunity to turn all my unpleasant daily experiences into something positive, and I intend to fight to keep my spirits up and enjoy life anyway!
And if in addition, if someone wants to learn more about giving me a kidney, or give one to a loved one or a stranger, life would just be perfect 🙂
